Security and Privacy
As customers ourselves who have purchased many products over the internet, we at SHUKR understand the concerns people have about the security and privacy of their financial and personal information. We ensure that your financial information is kept private and safe at all times.
We use the Internet standard encryption technology known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This technology works by scrambling and encrypting all sensitive information into a highly indecipherable code.
Handing over your credit card details online using SSL is safer than using the telephone, fax or mail and even safer than personally handing it to a waiter in a restaurant or the gas station clerk at an all-night station. This is because with SSL, only your machine and our secure server have the keys required to decode the encrypted data.
When you have finished shopping and begin the checkout process, you will move into the secure area of our site. Once you've entered, the page address (URL) will change from 'http' to 'https' and a closed lock or a key will appear at the bottom of the screen. You will remain in this secure zone for the entire checkout process.
Your financial information is safe with us. However, if you are still concerned about handing over your credit card details online then please submit a ticket using the ""Other Questions"" option and we will do our best to address your concerns.
SHUKR takes privacy very seriously. We respect your privacy and under no circumstances will we sell, rent, or loan personal information about our customers to third parties for e-mail marketing.
We do ask for your email contact address to inform you of our latest offers and promotions. You will have the opportunity to opt out of this membership list if you so desire both at the time of purchasing your order and at any stage in the future by simply replying to any of our emails stating that you wish to unsubscribe from our membership list.
Client-side persistent data, more commonly known as cookies, are data stores that reside on your PC. The first-time you access a cookie-enabled server, the server creates a new cookie file in the Temporary Internet Files Folder. That record contains the server’s domain name, an expiration date, some security information, and any other information the Webmaster chooses to store about the current page request. When you revisit that page (or access another page on the same site) the server can read and update information in the cookie record.
Cookies are very common and are used by virtually all commercial websites. Mostly they are used by online stores to keep track of your shopping basket. They are also used by many content-based websites to remember your username and password so that you can log in to your personal account immediately.
We at SHUKR care about you, your security and your privacy. If you have any concerns at all submit a ticket and we will do our utmost to help and assist you in any way possible.
